ColorCote Long-Run

New Zealand loves steel. It shapes our baches, homes, offices, and skylines. But steel alone is vulnerable.

That’s why, for over 60 years, ColorCote has been coating steel to make it stronger and longer-lasting. Starting in the 1960s, they’ve set the standard for pre-painted roofing and cladding solutions that withstand New Zealand’s toughest conditions. Whether you’re building a new home or need to re-roof, ColorCote can guarantee the right roof for your specific location. With over 40 colours to choose from, ColorCote isn’t just steel. It’s steel made better.

Design, Pitch & Aspect

No roof is the same, each has its own design, specification and compliance requirements.

Roofing and cladding are the largest, most obvious features of your home so they need to be durable enough to look great over the long term, no matter how demanding the environment is. That’s why Colorcote have developed a three-tier product range of pre-painted metal roofing and cladding products.

All use the latest coating technology, with the option of two paint systems, so you can find the optimal product to suit your building environment, from moderate inland to the harshest coastal, industrial or geo-thermal conditions. We’re confident you’ll find a product in our range exactly right for your design and site.

You can find a summary of each of Colorcote range in the “Products” tab. You can also download ColorCote’s product information brochures for more information.

Products

AlumiGard

Levin Roofing installs AlumiGard roofing, a lightweight material which withstands harsh weather in Levin and the wider Manawatū-Whanganui area.

Ultimate protection for New Zealand’s toughest environments

AlumiGard is designed to withstand the harshest conditions, making it suitable for use in ‘very severe’ marine environments, right up to the waterline, as well as in areas with chemical or acidic exposure in harsh industrial or geothermal settings.

Aluminium doesn’t rust. Beneath AlumiGard’s durable baked-on paint system is the same marine grade aluminium alloy used in boat building. This ensures exceptional resistance to corrosion. The acrylic or polyester topcoat, baked on a polyester primer, creates an extremely durable paint system that resists UV damage and provides excellent gloss and colour retention.

The superior corrosion resistance of MagnaFlow means it is an ideal choice for more demanding environments, such as roofs 100m from the coastline. Levin Roofing installs long-run steel roofing of all kinds, including the cutting-edge ColorSteel Dridex for better protection against mould in Horowhenua.

ColorSteel Dridex®

Warmer and healthier homes, through condensation and ventilation management.

COLORSTEEL Dridex® absorbs accumulating moisture from the roof cavity and then releases it when conditions improve, delivering superior condensation absorption and enhanced ventilation.

Mould is a very common issue in New Zealand housing, with a BRANZ survey* reporting that mould was visible in 49% of houses surveyed. Due to the lightweight properties of water vapour, it tends to find its way into the ceiling cavity, which is why the ceiling is often the first place you will find mould, a known trigger of asthma. COLORSTEEL Dridex® works to help reduce mould and other pollutants associated with asthma and other respiratory tract inflammations and allergies, being awarded the Sensitive Choice by the National Asthma Council, giving homeowners reassurance that they have the right product for a warmer, drier and healthier home.

With Gerard, your roof can be ordered off the plans, ensuring it's on site and ready to go. Other materials require onsite measurements and materials to be ordered, leading to costly delays.
